BitFlow is a fintech Android client that monitors live exchange order books, real-time ticker prices, and calculates user asset profit/loss with sub-second latency via bi-directional WebSockets.

- Bi-Directional WebSockets: Implemented with Ktor Client / OkHttp with automatic reconnection logic, ping/pong heartbeats, and exponential backoff.
- High-Frequency UI Rendering: Handled 50+ price updates per second using custom Compose throttling and
conflate()on Kotlin Flow operators to eliminate unnecessary UI redraws while maintaining current ticker accuracy. - Biometric Security: Integrated AndroidX
BiometricPromptfor fingerprint and Face Unlock before revealing wallet balances or private transaction histories. - Clean MVI Pattern: Strict state transitions ensuring complete immutability and replayability for error analysis.
📈 Architecture Highlights
- Custom Candlestick Canvas: Rendered interactive OHLC (Open, High, Low, Close) financial charts with pinch-to-zoom and pan gestures using Compose pointer input filters.
- Encrypted Local Storage: Stored user API credentials using Android Jetpack Security (
EncryptedSharedPreferences) backed by Android Keystore hardware security module (HSM).
